Back to back trips being something I usually try to avoid as it tends to destroy my studio schedule – but an incredible couple of weeks of F1!
The highlights including creating an artwork of Bottas’ helmet live from scratch through an Epson – Mercedes AMG Petronas partner dinner, a show at the most iconic location in F1 at the Fairmont Hotel Monaco, and live painting in the Barcelona Paddock Club, and in a suite 7 floors above St Devote.
I created a new piece of Alonso celebrating his 2013 win at the circuit specifically to show in Barcelona. I’m demonstrably a slower painter than the signage guys at the circuit… although i still managed to get a shot of Alonso at the SPAINISH GP before they covered it over for second practice!
Monaco, crazy as ever. My favourite week of the year, every year. And an absolute honour to show at the iconic Fairmont (Lowes) Hotel on the hairpin. Many thanks to Edge Global as usual too for their hospitality on race day where I live painted from their 7th floor suite and raised a good chunk for charity in doing so.
Friday night saw the first of several fundraising drives this year too with Sir Jackie Stewart, a signed embellished canvas raising £3k for Race Against Dementia. See you in Singapore Sir Jackie!
