Mika's statue unveil at McLaren

You don’t need to ‘Hang it in the Louvre’ when you can ‘Stand it on the boulevard’…

Introducing the newest edition to the MTC boulevard, in the dynamic of celebrating his Monaco 1998 win, the 6th in my bronze statue project for McLaren, the flying Finn Mika Hakkinen.

Thanks as always for the belief and trust Zak and team! And for the incredible unveiling today with Andrea, Lando and Oscar. It only sunk in afterwards, that for the current F1 world champion to unveil this sculpture, was a very special first.

And so, the 10 year sculpture project for McLaren marches on... scheduled to complete in 2029. Bruce, Emerson, Niki, James, Ayrton and now Mika all now standing next to their cars on the iconic boulevard.
